Earlier in this week, the rumor mill had revealed that the Vivo X21 smartphone had received 3C certification in China. Today, a leaked photo of the handset has appeared to reveal its front and rear design.
Among all the Vivo phones, the only X series phones that supports 18W fast charging are Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus. The 3C body had recently certified these models such as X21, X21UD, X21A and X21 UDA. These phones were found to support 18W fast charging. This indicates that the successor of Vivo X20 and X20 Plus may arrive in the market as Vivo X21 and X21 Plus. Also, these models could be having in-screen fingerprint scanner variants too.
The above image that reportedly belongs to the Vivo X21 shows it features under-display fingerprint scanner and super-slim on the edges of the display. The upper bezel is not visible, but the bottom bezel is slightly thick. The back panel of the phone has a dual camera setup like the iPhone X. It is located on the top-left corner of the phone. Since it has an under-display fingerprint sensor, the backside of the phone does not feature any biometric recognition feature. Nothing else is known about the features and specifications of the Vivo X21.
The other upcoming phones from Vivo are the Vivo APEX flagship phone that is fueled by Snapdragon 845. Its mass-production is expected to begin in mid-2018. The other handset is the Vivo V9 that will be launching to replace the Vivo V7.
