The DECO camera retains the previous generation’s sun, moon, and stars motif, with the Zeiss T* coating logo visible in the camera area. The infrared sensor is positioned in the lower middle, while the flash is in the upper right.
With no top opening, the X200 Pro mini places a single dual speaker at the bottom. It supports up to 90W FlashCharge and includes a 90W fast-charging kit in the box.
Performance and Gaming
The Vivo X200 Pro Mini equips the Dimensity 9400 mobile platform, marking Android’s first use of a 3nm process processor. Its big core has been upgraded to ARM’s latest Cortex-X925 super core, with a boosted main frequency of 3.63GHz.
Compared to the previous generation X4, performance sees a 36% improvement, while AI performance rises by 41%. Powered by three 2.8GHz Cortex-X4 super cores and four 2.1GHz Cortex-A720 large cores, the Dimensity 9400 delivers impressive performance. The L2 cache capacity doubles from 1MB to 2MB, while the L3 cache capacity increases by 50%, boosting the energy efficiency ratio significantly.
Performance and gaming tests of the X200 Pro Mini confirm these advancements. For testing theoretical performance and gaming capabilities, memory expansion was turned off, and performance mode (BOOST mode) was enabled.
Theoretical Performance Test
First, the AnTuTu comprehensive performance test scored 2.71 million points—an increase of nearly 25% over the previous generation Dimensity 9300. The GPU score broke one million, reaching 1.21 million points, showing the Dimensity 9400’s exceptional graphics capability. In the Geekbench 6 test, the Dimensity 9400 CPU achieved a single-core score of 2704 points and a multi-core score of 8683 points.
Game Testing
The GPU’s enhanced performance is evident in gaming. Tests included “Genshin Impact,” “Honkai Impact 3: Transcendence of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” and “Honor of Kings.” All games were set to the highest frame rate and quality, and frame rate, power consumption, energy efficiency, and temperature were recorded.
Honor of Kings
In the Honor of Kings test, with extreme image quality and a high frame rate, the average frame rate was 121.11, achieving smooth full-frame performance. Power consumption was 3.544W, with an energy efficiency ratio of 33.89FPS/W. The back temperature stayed at 35.8°C, demonstrating Dimensity 9400’s impressive efficiency.
Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact at maximum quality, the average frame rate reached 59.25, nearly achieving full-frame operation. Power consumption averaged 4.846W, with an energy efficiency ratio of 12.22FPS/W. Maximum body temperature reached 41.6°C, showcasing leading heat dissipation among compact mobile phones.
Honkai Impact 3: Sky Railway
In Honkai Impact 3, the average frame rate remained steady at 58.2FPS during intensive battles, an excellent result. Average power consumption was 3.450W, with an energy efficiency ratio of 16.86FPS/W. Maximum temperature was only 37.6°C, demonstrating Dimensity 9400’s highly optimized energy efficiency.
Cameras
The Vivo X200 Pro mini’s main camera features Sony’s customized LYT818 sensor, built on the latest 22nm process, which significantly optimizes energy efficiency. Its 1/1.28-inch photosensitive unit, with a single pixel size of 1.22μm, can output up to 50 million pixels and includes a large f/1.57 aperture. Based on its specifications, it stands comparable to the IMX989. The improved energy efficiency enhances the LYT818’s video recording and dynamic range.
For telephoto, the camera employs a mainstream periscope design. Although limited by body size and lacking the 200-megapixel telephoto lens of the X100 Ultra, the IMX882 still delivers impressive quality. The 1/2-inch photosensitive unit supports up to 50-megapixel output with a large f/2.57 aperture, 3X optical zoom, 100X Zeiss ultra-long digital zoom, and 20X telephoto macro. This versatile setup easily meets diverse daily shooting needs.
The ultra-wide-angle lens uses a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, featuring a 1/2.76-inch photosensitive unit, f/2.0 aperture, and 15mm equivalent focal length. With AF autofocus, it effectively captures expansive landscapes. Without further ado, let’s explore the imaging performance of the Vivo X200 Pro mini.
Main Camera
Sample photos show that the X200 Pro mini produces high-quality images. The new 1/1.28-inch LYT818 sensor enhances detail and color capture, delivering clean and vivid photos that maintain authenticity.
With Zeiss T* coating technology, lens glare and scattering are significantly reduced, improving overall image quality.
The X200 Pro mini also offers various color styles, including vivid, textured, and professional Zeiss natural colors, allowing users to select the best settings for different environments and personal preferences.
Telephoto
The telephoto lens provides impressive results, capturing scenes at multiple focal lengths. Even at 10x zoom, the photos retain clarity, natural colors, and well-preserved details of distant buildings. At 3X optical zoom, image details remain sharp with minimal blur.
Night Mode
The large 1/1.28-inch LYT818 sensor performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions, producing clear night shots. In sample photos, bright lights are handled smoothly without overexposure, and the natural light color is preserved. In darker scenes, photo details remain intact with minimal noise, offering an overall clear imaging effect.
Ultra-Wide Angle
In ultra-wide-angle mode, photos remain distortion-free along the edges. The wide field captures more of the scene with color consistency similar to the main camera, providing additional creative opportunities for wide-angle shots.
Battery
The Vivo X200 Pro mini packs a surprisingly large 5700mAh battery into its compact design, made possible by Vivo’s third-generation Blue Ocean semi-solid-state battery. This battery achieves an energy density of 831Wh/L, allowing for a higher capacity without increasing its size.
The X200 Pro mini supports fast charging with 90W wired and 30W wireless options, making recharging quick and efficient. Here’s an overview of its charging performance.
Charging Test
Before beginning the charging test, the ultra-fast charging mode was activated, and charging was monitored from 1%. In the first 10 minutes, the battery reached 28%, followed by 51% in 20 minutes, 76% in 30 minutes, and 95% in 40 minutes. The battery reached a full charge in just 44 minutes.
Considering the battery’s 5700mAh capacity, this charging speed is impressive, allowing for a quick recharge even during a meal break.
Battery Life Test
The battery life test was conducted using Fast Technology’s Battery Dog tool, a professional testing solution that simulates typical usage. The tool automatically performs a 20% power test by default, running a series of activities—such as high CPU voltage tasks, CPU multi-threading, AI recognition, image browsing, video playback, and web browsing—to replicate real-world usage as closely as possible.
To ensure consistent conditions for all tests, Battery Dog adjusts the screen brightness to 50%, disables automatic brightness, and sets the volume to 30%.
After testing, the Vivo X200 Pro mini’s battery lasted for 7 hours, 10 minutes, and 56 seconds when depleted from 100% to 20%, translating to a full-charge battery life of approximately 9.5 hours. This is more than enough for a full day of typical use.
