iGeekphone October 10 news, the blogger digital chat station suggested that the vivo X100 series tested satellite communication technology, which will be the industry’s first Tianguet flagship to support satellite communication.
Previously in July, vivo demonstrated a satellite communication prototype, which was built based on X90 Pro+, using a Ziguangrui solution, equipped with Ziguangrui’s first satellite communication SoC chip V8821.
The prototype supports 3GPP R17 NTN bidirectional satellite communication, adopts RF baseband integration scheme and built-in antenna, supports n255/n256 dual frequency band, and ADAPTS to lnmarsat Maritime/Tiantong-1 satellite system.
It can be applied to all kinds of scenarios (wilderness, ocean, desert, forest, etc.) in which mobile phones are directly connected to satellites, so that users can still keep in touch with the outside world when there is no ground cellular network coverage.
This program will be officially commercialized on the vivo X100 series, when the vivo X100 series is the industry’s first mass flagship mobile phone that does satellite communication on the Tianji platform (vivo X100 series is equipped with Mediatek Tianji 9300 mobile platform).
