The Chinese company Vivo has launched its first smartwatch, Vivo Watch, on the home market, which is priced at 1299 yuan (around $190). The Vivo Watch stands out for its premium design and several top-notch features.
The new Vivo Watch is available in two versions – 46 mm and 42 mm. The models differ in the number of buttons on the case (two / three), bezel design, and different displays. The large model is equipped with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 × 454 pixels. The smaller version received a 1.19-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 × 390 pixels.
As for the straps, there are two options – Nappa leather and fluoroelastomer. There is also a strap made of the bull scalp that has a natural texture, smoothness, and delicate look.
The watch uses a stainless steel case, which is stronger than conventional aluminum alloys. It easily resists daily wear and tear. The watch bezel is made of precision ceramic, which Vivo says takes almost two months to produce. Thus, the hardness of the material is 4 times higher than that of stainless steel.
The Vivo Watch comes with 6 built-in sensors, including a blood oxygen sensor, accelerometer, air pressure, geomagnetism, light, and positioning sensor. The positioning system supports four major global systems.
The watch supports 11 kinds of sports monitoring, including outdoor running, swimming, cycling, mountain climbing, etc. The watch can control the music playback and camera of the smartphone.
They also received an NFC module for contactless payments and support for the JOVI voice assistant. In terms of battery life, the 42mm version of the Vivo Watch delivers up to 9 days of battery life, while the 46mm model offers up to 18 days.
