Chinese smartphone maker vivo has managed to go head to head with Samsung in India over the past few quarters. Both companies occasionally release new devices. Most of the devices Samsung offers are either budget or premium models. On the other hand, Vivo’s devices mostly appear to be mid-range devices. Now, rendered images of a new mid-range smartphone called the Vivo V20 have been leaked, suggesting it will be on the market soon.
In the last few days, in fact, the names of V20, V20 Pro, and V20 SE have emerged, devices that apparently will arrive on the Indian market as early as October. We know little about the official, but today credible indications on the design of the V20 arrive from a “stolen” photo of advertising material, and from a couple of renderings made by MySmartPrice colleagues.
If in front the similarities with X50 Pro and Pro Plus are not many, with the Vivo V20 having a flat-screen and a double hole for the selfie-cam on the back things get more interesting.
The photographic module, in fact, recalls the one with Gimbal Camera seen on the two top of the range, at least in the layout and in the importance it gives to the main lens – even if the cameras are three, and not four, and the periscope will be missing. Beyond this, however, there are no other clues: to know if this sophisticated form of stabilization will also arrive on at least one model of the V20 series, in short, it is still too early.
As for the hardware and the differences between the various models, the information is really scarce: the only circulating concerns the V20 SE, which should be equipped with a Snapdragon 665 processor, 8GB of RAM, and support fast charging at 33W.
The detail of the filtered advertising poster does not advertise the Gimbal Camera, but the selfie-cam with a 44MP main sensor. A feature like the Gimbal, of course, would be the center of the promotion related to a product, and in this sense, therefore, the image undermines hopes.
However, the features that Vivo may want to showcase are many, and here we have only a clipping of a flyer. All that remains is to wait, and rumors will stabilize.
