Vivo is working on its new smartphone of V series called the V17, which has been leaked a couple of times in the past suggesting a dual pop-selfie camera. Now, some new information indicates a quad-camera module with some enhanced zooming capabilities. The upcoming flagship series is likely going official later this year.
According to exclusive sources from 91mobiles, the Vivo V17 line will be equipped with four rear cameras with a 20x hybrid zoom capability like on the upcoming OPPO Reno 2.
According to previous reports, Vivo V17 is equipped with a dual selfie camera and is expected to launch in India just before the Diwali ceremony in October. On the other hand, in early August, Vivo launched V17 Neo but this is not a completely new smartphone, but Vivo S1 is renamed for the Russian market.
Vivo S1 has 6.38 inch Super AMOLED Full HD water-drop screen, using Helio P65 chip combined with RAM of 6GB ROM 128GB and running Android 9 Pie. The rear camera specs include a 16MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP camera on board, 4500mAh battery (with fast charger) and 6th generation optical fingerprint sensor (embedded under the screen).
The company is expected to launch the Vivo V17 in the Indian market right before Diwali, which will take place in October, but there is no word on the pricing. However, it is being said that the Vivo V17 Pro will carry a slightly hefty price tag.
