Entering the last quarter of 2021, a number of brands rushed to deploy all existing collections, such as Vivo. Earlier this week the company launched the iQoo Z5x and S10e, now Vivo unveiled two of its new products in the new T series, which is positioned as a youth. The first-borns were Vivo T1 and T1x, which received 6-nm chipsets, capacious batteries, and screens with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The first thing that catches the attention of the new Vivo is that, despite being the same family of devices, they are very different. It is true that Vivo T1 and T1x have a relatively simple rear and that they have similar dimensions, but if we turn them around we will begin to see the differences.
The Vivo T1 is larger and has a 6.67-inch IPS screen, while the T1x is “smaller” at 6.58 inches diagonally. They both share the 120Hz refresh rate, the FullHD + resolution, and the 20: 9 aspect ratio, but differ in the touch refresh rate, which is 240 Hz on the Vivo T1 and 180Hz on the Vivo T1x. Not to mention that the T1x has a drop-shaped notch and the T1 a perforated panel.
There are also substantial differences in the interior. The Vivo T1 is the most powerful model and, as such, it mounts a Snapdragon 778G processor along with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage (the fastest it ships right now).
The Vivo T1x, however, incorporates a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and mounts 6/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM (somewhat lower) and 128/256 of UFS 3.1 storage. It lacks, therefore, the fastest RAM memories and the 12GB of maximum capacity that the Vivo T1 has.
The Vivo T1 and T1x models share everything related to connectivity, that is, they both have WiFi 6, 5G, and a USB Type-C port, as well as the battery. Of this, it should be noted that it has a capacity of 5000mAh and a 44W fast-charging system to see how it behaves on a day-to-day basis.
Finally, and when it comes to photography, the most complete model is the Vivo T1. This incorporates a 64MP sensor, an 8MP wide-angle, and a 2MP macro, as well as a 16MP front camera. The T1x, meanwhile, drops the wide-angle and mounts the main sensor and a macro of 50MP and 2MP, respectively. The front camera of this model is 8MP.
The Vivo T1 will be sold in three memory configurations: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 12/256GB, in Black or Blue. Three versions 2199 yuan ($344), 2399 yuan ($375) or 2599 yuan ($406), respectively. Meanwhile, the Vivo T1x will start at 1599 yuan ($250) and once again gets three memory combos: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB.
