As scheduled, today on August 3, Vivo launched a new S-series smartphone, called Vivo S7 5G. The phone has a rather unique design, with rabbit ears to accommodate the dual selfie camera on the front and a cluster of 3 cameras in a rectangular module on the back.
Vivo S7 5G has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), a 20: 9 aspect ratio and takes up 91.2% of the front. Although there is no high-frequency scan, but the Smartphone’s screen also supports HDR and the built-in fingerprint sensor below.
On the front, there are two cameras. The main camera has a 44MP sensor and an autofocus lens with f / 2.0 aperture. This phone is capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps. Next to it is a 105-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with an 8MP sensor.
On the back, there is a 64MP main camera. Like the front camera, this camera supports electronic video stabilization plus the latest Super Night mode from Vivo. Users can record videos with the front and back cameras simultaneously (separate screen).
Furthermore, the 8MP ultra-wide camera on the back, which also functions as a macro camera. Vivo S7 5G has a 2MP depth sensor. To enlarge the image, this phone relies on a high-resolution main sensor.
Inside, this phone carries the power of hardware that comes from Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor, combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.1 internal memory, does not support expansion with a memory card.
The 4000mAh battery supports 33W flash charging with the 11V / 3A charger included in the package. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, but it supports Hi-Res Audio if the user uses a USB-C headset. Wireless connectivity is quite solid thanks to the Snapdragon 5G (SA / NSA) chipset, plus dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and LDAC, plus NFC.
The Vivo S7 5G is available in three colors, the most interesting is the Monet option. This blue and purple blend layer was inspired by impressionist painters. This phone is thin and quite light, measuring 7.39mm and weighing 170g. Monet colored devices are one-tenth thicker than one millimeter.
The Vivo S7 5G can be ordered in China from today. The first unit will be sent on August 8. The 128GB model will cost 2800 yuan (about $401), while the 256GB model is priced at 3100 yuan ($444) and will be shipped later.
