Earlier this month, information emerged that the new smartphone line Vivo NEX will be equipped with the so-called “waterfall screen”, which previously introduced in its prototype company Oppo.
Now, an image appeared on the Internet of the front panel of the upcoming NEX 3 smartphone from the Vivo. One of the key features of the Vivo NEX 3 device will be the Waterfall Screen design, according to the “Current News” information portal.
Pictures with a future smartphone with high-tech enthusiasts were shared by Li Xiang, Vivo brand product director. The screen of the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone is curved left and right so that it almost completely covers the side faces. Accordingly, when you look at the device, the effect of a “waterfall screen” is created.
It is easy to assume that there are no side buttons on the smartphone – instead, the device is equipped with (presumably) pressure-sensitive zones. An interesting detail is the audio jack, which can be seen on the upper (or lower?) Edge.
The display will occupy the entire front surface of the smartphone, so the selfie camera had to be placed directly below the screen – recently, this innovative technology is used, as we see, more and more often. Representatives of Vivo say that the company’s engineers managed to overcome the so-called “window” effect due to this arrangement of the camera.
Earlier, a similar photo was published on Twitter by the blogger Ice Universe, but the latest publication officially confirmed the existence of such a display. The official announcement of the smartphone Vivo NEX 3, recall, will be held next fall. How much the new Chinese smartphone with a fashionable design will cost – has not yet been announced.
