Today, I present the VAPORESSO LUXE X PRO, the latest addition to the LUXE family. It joins the LUXE X, LUXE XR, and LUXE XR MAX as another nearly identical-looking pod mod that supports MTL, RDL, or DL vaping.
Similar to the LUXE X, the LUXE X PRO comes with two pods featuring non-removable coils. It’s also compatible with LUXE X pods and LUXE XR pods with GTX coils, offering flexibility in coil resistance.
The VAPORESSO LUXE X PRO features adjustable wattage up to 40W and houses a 1500mAh battery rechargeable via Type-C. It includes a 0.42” display for essential vaping information.
This is now the fourth similar-looking LUXE device to emerge in the last year. So, does it bring anything new to the table? I took an in-depth look at the LUXE X PRO over two weeks to find out.

As for design and build quality, it’s immediately apparent that the LUXE X PRO belongs to the VAPORESSO LUXE pod mod family. Its shape, size, and design closely resemble the LUXE X, LUXE XR, and LUXE XR MAX. While there are some differences, it’s unmistakably a LUXE pod mod.
Comparing the size to the rest of the LUXE family, the LUXE X PRO falls in the middle, measuring 99.1mm tall, 32mm wide, and 23.4mm deep. It’s smaller than the LUXE XR MAX but slightly larger than the LUXE X and LUXE XR.
In comparison to other pod vapes on the market, the LUXE X PRO is relatively large and carries some weight at 99g with a full pod.
The design features a metal frame that covers the top, bottom, and center of the device, with clear panels on the sides revealing a holographic decorative layer. It comes in seven colors, including Black, Gunmetal Lime, Ultra Orange, Dazzling Yellow, Blue, Pink, and White.
The front of the device hosts the 0.42” display, situated on a dark panel. The power/fire buttons, as well as the adjustment buttons, are firm and responsive. An airflow slider on the side is similar to the XR MAX but could be firmer for more precise control.
The LUXE X PRO comes with two pods, the LUXE X 0.4Ω pod, and the LUXE X 0.6Ω pod, both with a 5ml capacity. In addition to these pods, it can also be used with other LUXE X PODS or the LUXE XR MAX pod, compatible with VAPORESSO’s GTX coils. This provides various options for coil resistance, catering to your vaping style.
The 0.4Ω pod is the same as the one in the LUXE X and LUXE XR, while the 0.6Ω pod is new to the LUXE X PRO, offering more versatility. According to the wattage set by the LUXE X PRO when you insert a pod, the 0.4Ω pod is best used at 30W, and the 0.6Ω pod at 24W.
The pods feature a wide fill hole with a rubber stopper that effectively prevents leaks. I recommend using freebase nicotine e-liquids with these pods, but the 0.6Ω pod can also handle mid-high strength nicotine salt e-liquids.
Moving on to features and functions, the LUXE X PRO offers adjustable wattage up to 40W and houses a 1500mAh battery. It features “smart mode” by default, which detects the pod/coil resistance and sets the wattage accordingly to prevent coil damage. However, you can disable smart mode to adjust wattage as desired.
The device also has an adjustable airflow slider on the side, which, combined with the appropriate pod/coil, allows precise tuning for MTL, RDL, or DL vaping. It offers both button and draw activation, with VAPORESSO claiming it’s highly responsive even for RDL and DL vaping.
Here are some LUXE X PRO button combinations:
- Power ON/OFF: Press the fire button five times.
- Lock or unlock the device: Press the fire button three times.
- Turn smart wattage on/off: Press and hold the fire button and up adjustment buttons together.
- Clear the puff counter: Hold the fire button and down adjustment buttons together.
Regarding battery and charging
The LUXE X PRO’s 1500mAh battery provides decent usage times. The Type-C charging port is located at the bottom, and it takes 55 minutes to fully charge from a dead battery. Pass-thru charging allows you to use it while charging.
In terms of performance, the LUXE X PRO is versatile and suitable for MTL, DL, and RDL vaping out of the box. The 0.4Ω pod provides a satisfying DL draw with adjustable airflow, while the 0.6Ω pod is ideal for MTL and RDL vaping. The device offers button and draw activation, and VAPORESSO has improved the responsiveness of the auto draw for RDL and DL vaping.
Verdict
The LUXE X PRO, while similar to its LUXE family counterparts, offers advantages such as adjustable wattage and precise airflow control. It’s a versatile device suitable for different vaping styles and offers good battery and coil life. While it’s larger and heavier than most other pod vapes and the airflow adjustment slider could be firmer, it’s a solid choice for vapers looking for an all-in-one solution.
If you’ve been following VAPORESSO’s LUXE series, the LUXE X PRO provides a portable option that caters to various vaping preferences. It’s a worthy addition to the LUXE family. Have you used the LUXE X PRO? Feel free to leave a comment and share your experience!
