Yesterday we have first reported a new model in Redmi series, it’s Redmi Pro 2, the new version of Redmi Pro. As you know, Redmi Pro is the first Xiaomi smartphone to adopt dual rear camera. But there is news about Redmi Pro sale which is not ideal, right now it has been off list on MI official website, which can’t compare with other big Chinese brands like OPPO, Vivo, etc. Today there are more details about Redmi Pro 2, which will not use Helio series from Mediatek, but be powered by Snapdragon 660 processor.
Currently, Xiaomi is preparing the high-end product, Redmi Pro 2, which will make big upgrades in design and specs. It’s first time to use Snapdragon 660 processor which has biggest highlight such as based on Samsung 14nm, and it may use Qualcomm’s Kryo Octa core processor, Adreno 512 GPU, it has also including the highest 2K screen, using dual channel, LPDDR 4X@1866, UFS 2.1, supporting 24MP dual rear camera, 4G LTE Cat.10, Three carrier aggregation, etc. Its performance is up to Snapdragon 820/821 level.
According to previous news, Redmi Pro 2 uses 5.5 inch 2K screen, powered by Snapdragon 660 processor, right now we have no idea about its internal storage, it will have 16MP dual camera, running MIUI OS based on Android 7.0.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Pro hasn’t got the big success in sales, but they will never give up, because they have prepared this Redmi Pro 2 with higher specs. It’s said that it will be released until the second quarter of 2017. Stay tuned.
