The Bigger screen is what many new phones are after with the regular or even smaller size of the body. The newly S8 from Samsung is widely regarded as the benchmark for the massive 5.8-inch screen ratio with the regular body size. In the case of S8+, it’s 6.2-inch. However, the latest full-screen model from UMIDIGI, the UMIDIGI S2 Pro, enjoys nearly the same screen size with the Samsung S8+ for 5.99-inch.
In the comparison photos, the slightly smaller body UMIDIGI S2 Pro equals to the Samsung S8+ in screen display size, and there is really not much difference on display between the two. But one thing to notice that, while the UMIDIGI S2 Pro has the new standard 18:9 screen ratio as other full-screen phones, the Samsung S8+ though has a bizarre aspect ratio of 18.5:9, which is going to bring with it some headaches, particularly when it comes to videos. Because some videos display at 16:9, the S8 and S8 Plus is going to smack some vertical black bars on the left and right of files you watch in that format.
5100mAh 8.7mm vs 3500mAh 8.1mm
Apart from the massive 5.99” edge-to-edge display with enormous 18:9 aspect ratio, the display on UMIDIGI S2 Pro is FHD+ 1080 x 2160 pixel, the great visual experience is promising on UMIDIGI S2 Pro. While the UMIDIGI S2 Pro is similar bigger (8.7mm) than the Samsung S8+ (8.1mm), S2 Pro though has a much bigger battery of 5100mAh than that 3500mAh of Samsung S8’s.
