The Chinese smartphone company Umidigi starts standing out in the middle price segment this year, by launching Umidigi One Pro and One Max. Recently, we saw a post from Umidigi showcasing their new series phone — UMIDIGI F1. Its name seems like the Xiaomi’s flagship killer Poco F1. Will it be the new flagship killer? Let’s check out the leaked specifications.
Start from the processor. The post suggests UMIDIGI F1 will incorporate Mediatek Helio P60, a mid-level flagship SoC, which is also used in OPPO R15 & F9 Pro, Vivo Y97 and UMIDIGI’s 2018 flagship Umidigi Z2 Pro. The Helio P60 has been proved you can enjoy the smooth operation of all demanding games like PUBG.
Umidigi F1 announces to be an interesting and powerful phone. It will use one of the best processors from MediaTek, the Helio P60. It is true that it does not rise to the level of a powerful processor of Qualcomm ‘s competitors, but it is still able to run correctly and quickly.
And against the rest of the processors at MediaTek, the Helio P60 uses 4 power cores (Cortex A73) and 4 economics (Cortex A53). The rest is based more on the Cortex A53, which is not specifically designed to deliver high performance. Umidigi F1 boasts not only a good processor. Is this ” F1 ” coming from Formula 1 or from Pocophone F1?
The screen has a large 6.3 “, Full HD + diagonal with a common notch, meaning a” drop of water “. Examining a little, in the official release, Umidigi compares this display with the one on OnePlus 6T. Unfortunately, the only picture offered is the one above.
It’s probably the kind of design that many phones will adopt in 2019, regardless of the manufacturer. Then, the Umidigi F1 will be equipped with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, high capacity 5150mAh battery and 128GB storage. The price has not been revealed yet, we are waiting for the rest of the technical details. Overall, if they can sell it at a fair price, it can be an interesting phone. Remains to be seen.
