The company UMIDIGI releasing the model A3 intends to bend as much as possible on the budget, the line of entry-level smartphones, among which you can find Redmi 6A, from Xiaomi. By comparing with Redmi 6A, let’s see how UMIDIGI A3 is going to stand out in the entry-level phone market.
Design
Unlike the Redmi 6A, which has a plastic back panel and frame, the UMIDIGI A3 shines through the use of double-sided 2.5D curved glass and a metal frame. In UMIDIGI A3, the speaker is located on the bottom panel, while in the Redmi 6A it is located at the back and if you put the smartphone on its display, the sound is muffled.
Both smartphones have a dedicated slot for microSD memory cards and two more slots for SIM cards. The only difference is that there are two trays in Redmi 6A (one for nanoSIM and a memory card and one for nanoSIM only), while Umidigi has all three slots in one tray.
Display
UMIDIGI A3 and Redmi 6A use a display with an 18: 9 aspect ratio, but thanks to the use of In-Cell technology, the UMIDIGI A3 has narrower sides, clear images, and text (compared to Redmi 6A with on-cell technology).
In addition, this technology reduces the thickness of the screen in the UMIDIGI A3, which leaves more space for the battery, it has 3300 mAh in A3, while Redmi 6A has 3000 mAh (but not the only capacity is important, but also optimization).
Performance and features
The UMIDIGI A3 is equipped with an MT6739 quad-core processor, while the Redmi 6A has a 12 nm Helio A22 processor. According to the official data from MediaTek, the performance of Redmi 6A is slightly better than that of the UMIDIGI A3, but in practice, everything is not so prosaic, I have a little of it.
Camera
The Redmi 6A has one 13MP camera with an F / 2.2 aperture diaphragm, while the UMIDIGI A3 has a dual 12MP + 5MP camera with an F / 2.0 aperture, 1.25 microns in size, pictures with rich colors and less noise.
Security
A3 has two ways to protect your personal data on your smartphone — a fingerprint scanner and unlocking with your face. Redmi 6A does not have a fingerprint scanner, and unlocking with a face is activated only when the Singapore region is activated (for details, see the review).
Price
UMIDIGI A3 starts at an unbeatable price $79.99 with superior features while it needs around $100 for Redmi 6A. And from October 20, when UMIDIGI A3 open presale, you can even pre-order A3 with snap-up price $75.99! (Just pay a deposit $7.6 from October 20 – November 10 first, and then pay the rest amount to complete the order on Nov 11 – Nov 12).
Overall, we can clearly get a conclusion that the UMIDIGI A3 is definitely the winner of the competition. However, which model do you prefer, UMIDIGI A3 or Redmi 6A? Tell us your opinion in comments.
