UMIDIGI A1 PRO had a good success in the first half of 2018, and soon it seems that we can get our hands on the new generation product. We are talking about the next UMIDIGI A3, which should also come in other variants.
Based on the renderings just leaked on AliExpress in the official UMIDIGI store, the new image shows that the upcoming device will be equipped with a 5.5-inch display, vertically aligned dual camera at the back with just under a fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker and power button will be present on the right side. Like the A1 PRO, the UMIDIGI A3 will also be equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. UMIDIGI A3 will be available in two colors: gray and gold.
Based on what appeared on AliExpress, the UMIDIGI A3 will have three slots that will contain 2 SIM cards and a slot dedicated to the MicroSD. This is a significant progress for UMIDIGI and good news for an entry-level device, which means that it will not be necessary to sacrifice the second slot for the SIM card. The new UMIDIGI A3 also supports dual VoLTE 4G technology on both slots simultaneously. Inside we will find the new SOC MediaTek MT6739 quad-core 1.5 GHz, supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal memory.
As for the cameras, the UMIDIGI A3 will have a dual rear camera with 12MP sensors + 5MP, while frontally we will have an 8MP sensor that supports the function of unlocking the face. The autonomy will be guaranteed by a battery with a capacity of 3300 mAh.
The design of this UMIDIGI A3 is certainly not among the most original, but certainly very pleasant, thanks to the use of a 2.5D curved glass on both sides and a unibody metal side frame. Present a speaker on the bottom and the notification LED.
UMIDIGI A3 will be available in advance at the official AliExpress UMIDIGI store from October 20 at a price of $79.99. In any case, the official presentation of UMIDIGI A3 is set in a few days, on 28 September.
