The Twotrees Sapphire Plus is a 3D printer that does not leave you indifferent, especially since it is one of the first Core XY on the big market, kinematics that has been around for many years, but that had not been applied in too many commercial 3D printers.

Design
It is desirable to carry out assembly on a flat surface, without overtightening the fixing screws. Keep in mind that all screws are made of aluminum and therefore it is easy to damage the threads on them. Acrylic panels are precisely sized and installed without problems. Let’s stop there, since this article is not intended as a build guide. I just wanted to give a couple of hints with photos.Let’s move on to the review, starting with the chassis. The frame is very strong – even more durable than most machines with CoreXY kinematics that I have come across. Apparently, the lower and upper parts are made of lacquered bent sheet steel, and aluminum profiles 20×40 serve as vertical load-bearing elements. As practice has shown, with this design, vibrations are minimal even at high speeds.
Assembling
The kinematics are built entirely on high-quality MGN12H rails, which is unusual but nice for a 3D printer at this price point. The Y and Z axes are represented by two rails each, and one guide works along the X axis. The size of the construction area reaches 300x300x340 mm, which is very generous, and at the same time, the 3D printer takes up less space than a dry table with the same usable volume. To protect the guides from dust, I would recommend using Teflon grease (PTFE).
Touch Screen
On the other hand, this Twotrees Sapphire Plus brings us a piece of Makerbase 32-bit Robin Nano 1.2 board and a 3.5″ touch screen from the same brand, which makes this printer a marvel in terms of computing and possibilities. In addition, by default, it brings us a cloned BMG extruder, as well as an end-of-filament sensor and a default BLTouch (which do not come with instructions or easy ways to place them on the printer, you have to look a little life).
Features
Twotrees Sapphire Plus confidently states the maximum printing speed at a maximum of 300 mm/s. In practice, this seems to us to be excessive, but the Sapphire Plus is definitely one of the faster FDM printers. The device ejected the test files very well at 100 mm/s. For a better understanding, other manufacturers recommend print speeds in the range of 60mm/s.
