For years, we have known that Xiaomi’s appeal lies in its ability to offer high specifications at very affordable prices. If the latest rumors are true, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will remain an affordable flagship. According to fresh Information from China states that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be one of the most expensive phones in the Mi series. However, there seems to be a valid justification for this claim. Apparently, the Mi 7 will come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset along with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, although the latter case is not confirmed.
The rumor points to a high-end variant of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and this variant is supposed to cost more than 3000 yuan ($474). It is not yet known if the Xiaomi Mi 7 will receive a special edition in black ceramic as the Mi 6 but since the company has launched a ceramic variant for each flagship of the Mi series in the recent past, it is likely that the Mi 7 also get one.
Previous reports have also suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will join the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus in the new 18: 9 design, which means thinner frames. As a result, it is believed that the size of the Mi 7’s screen will jump from the traditional 5.15 inches to a larger 5.65-inch panel.

The Mi 6 last year did not have a Plus variant, but the Mi 7 will receive one with an even larger 6.01-inch OLED screen. Xiaomi is expected to include a camera with dual lenses backed by Artificial Intelligence, as well as support for facial recognition, just like OnePlus 5T. It is also believed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could debut with the support of wireless charge bargains, hence the alleged price increase.
