In recent months we have seen how two features have been key in the high range of this 2017. On the one hand, the infinite screens, named after Samsung, and on the other hand the facial recognition, which has made Apple so fashionable with the iPhone X. Well, these elements are no longer exclusive to the mid-range, since today we can find them in a mobile phone like the Oppo A83, a mobile phone for the mid-range that undoubtedly offers features that until now have been reserved mostly for top-of-the-range phones.
The most striking feature of this mid-range terminal is that it does not have a fingerprint reader, one on the front or on the back. And all thanks to his facial recognition, which ensures scan 128 distinctive points of our face in 0.18 seconds.
The Oppo A83 comes with an HD + screen of 5.7 inches. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and is powered by an octa-core processor at 2.5 GHz. OPPO has not revealed the type of processor, but it could be the Helio P23. The A83 completes its specifications with a 3180mAh battery and runs on ColorOS 3.2 out of the box.
The Oppo A83 comes with various connectivity features including 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 /b/g/n, GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi Direct and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has a single 13MP camera with LED flash on the reverse side, while an 8MP camera with A.I beatifying technology sits above the display.
Reservations are now available in Oppo’s official online store and sales will begin on December 29. The Oppo A83 costs 1399 yuan (212 ‘dollars) and is available in champagne and black variants.
