Huawei is preparing to launch the P20, P20 Plus and P20 Lite at an event that will take place in Paris on March 27. As that date approaches, the leaks on the new smartphones intensify and today we have been able to learn some additional details about the P20 Plus.
According to the XDA developer community, the Huawei P20 Plus will feature a large 4000mAh battery and Always On Display functionality. This information comes from the filtered firmware of the new smartphones. The product partition of the P20 Plus contains the Huawei Always On Display APK, which means that this app will come pre-installed on the device. Today, the only Huawei smartphone with Always On Display is the Mate 10 Pro – which is the first smartphone of the brand with OLED screen.
The Huawei Mate 10 has an LCD screen and the Mate 10 Pro has an OLED screen, so it could happen that the P20 Plus has an OLED screen. As for the battery, the capacity of the P20 Plus will be 4000mAh, while that of the P20 will be 3320mAh. The amount of Ram and storage of both devices is not clear, but it is expected that the P20 Plus has some advantage.

Another novelty that will incorporate the P20 is a cut on the screen in the style of the iPhone X. It is believed that this cut is the place where Huawei will place its Point Cloud Depth Camera to compete against the features Animoji and Face ID of Apple. Both the P20 and the P20 Plus will feature the latest Kirin 970 processor, the same one found in the Huawei Mate 10 and Honor 10 View.
