According to a report by WCTV on August 18, Florida is becoming a hub for illegal e-cigarette products, and these products may contain fentanyl.
Florida government and business leaders are now calling on the federal government to help solve the problem. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing warnings to dozens of stores for selling unapproved, single-use e-cigarettes.
Many stores located near Florida’s 15 ports received the warning, which also alerted the Florida Harbor Commission.
“I think we’ve seen an increase in illegal products throughout the state,” said Mike Rubin, chairman of the Florida Harbor Commission.
