According to the official introduction of Mediatek, the two flagship chips Dimensity 9300/9200 have officially passed the Wi-Fi 7 certification of the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA).
As one of the first companies in the world to invest in the research and development of Wi-Fi7 wireless connectivity technology, Mediatek demonstrated its complete Wi-Fi7 global ecosystem at CES2023 as early as the beginning of 2023 to meet the mass production of the next generation of wireless terminal devices. Mediatek is also working closely with the Wi-Fi Alliance to promote the certification of the new Wi-Fi 7 standard. At CES 2024, the first full Wi-Fi 7 certified products were showcased, powered by Mediatek’s Filogic family of chipsets.
Kevin Robinson, President and CEO of Wi-Fi Alliance, said: “MediaTek has been actively working with Wi-Fi Alliance for the past two decades to certify its products and successfully bring interconnected, reliable chipset solutions to market. “We are proud to have MediaTek join our Wi-Fi 7 Certified interoperability testbed, which will help bring more high-quality Wi-Fi 7 devices to market to ensure a superior user experience in home and office networking environments.”
Mediatek is also continuing to deepen the global Wi-Fi 7 ecosystem, constantly improving the ecosystem, promoting technological innovation and landing, in order to allow users to experience a powerful Wi-FI 7 network as soon as possible.
At present, the vivo X series equipped with Tianguet’s flagship chip and the iQOO Neo9 Pro equipped with Tianguet 9300 have been listed, and the Wi-Fi 7 function will be unlocked one after another, which can take the lead in giving users a faster, more stable and lower latency network connection.
It is reported that the official maximum theoretical peak rate of the Dimensity 9300 under Wi-FI 7 connection can reach 6.5Gbps, while equipped with Mediatek’s unique Wi-Fi 7 enhancement technology, indoor coverage can increase by 4.5 meters.
Thanks to this speed, a 1GB movie can be downloaded in less than 2 seconds.
Wi-Fi 7 also has 4096-QAM modulation, MRU/MLO and other cutting-edge technologies to provide higher data transmission rates and lower latency, throughput is also larger, to avoid network speed reduction, stashing, dropped and other situations.
In addition, the latest OPPO Find X7 is also equipped with the Tianguet 9300 chip and supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard. As industry pioneers such as Mediatek promote the popularization and implementation of Wi-Fi 7 technology, devices supporting Wi-Fi 7 and obtaining certification will gradually join the Wi-Fi 7 ecosystem, bringing more high-speed and stable wireless connection experience to more users.
