Integrated with a number of US media news, disposable electronic cigarettes with the appearance of highlighters have become the focus of the US regulatory crackdown.
With the arrival of the new school year, law enforcement and educators in the NewYorkMetropolitanArea (also known as the Tri-State area) are highly concerned about e-cigarette products, especially those that are easy to hide and appear to be everyday school supplies. The problem has raised alarm among educators and parents.
A teacher and owner of Beyond the Classroom, a school supply store, said there are many e-cigarette products on the market that look like school supplies such as highlighters, USB sticks or ballpoint pens, making it easier for children to use them secretly at school or at home. She urged parents and educators to pay close attention to children’s behavior, both at school and at home.
The report named an e-cigarette company called High Light Vape. Its product, “Office 4,” is almost identical to a traditional highlighter, with bright colors and even an angled tip. This design makes it easier for students to smuggle e-cigarettes into school.
A Texas law set to take effect in September mandates that students caught with e-cigarettes at school face harsher penalties, including temporary transfer to a highly supervised school. A school district in Citrus County, Fla., has even used dogs trained to detect e-cigarettes in an effort to police the practice.
The phenomenon of electronic cigarettes disguised as school supplies has aroused great concern from all parties in the United States, and it is recommended that upstream supply chain enterprises attach great importance to avoid the production of this category of products, so as to avoid the loss caused by law enforcement by relevant agencies.
