Today, at the press conference to explain a series of Mini LED industry-related content, TCL’s new brand FFALCON Thunderbird presented its first Smartphone, which is officially named is Thunderbird FF1. This device is similar to the recently launched operator-customized phone and is also affiliated with the smartphone of Huawei. This is also a helpless attempt after Huawei’s consumer business is limited.
It can be seen that the Thunderbird FF1 features a pill-shaped hole on the front, using a straight screen. The renders show that the screen-to-body ratio of the phone is quite excellent. The rear lens is a central “Yuba” style, equipped with a triple camera setup with a flash at the bottom.
In terms of configuration, it is actually similar to the recently released NZONE and Unicom U-Magic Youchang. The parameters are not good-looking, but they all support 5G. This is an advantage compared to Huawei’s own products.
From the official introduction, it can be known that the Thunderbird FF1 supports 66W fast charging, uses a 6.67-inch 120Hz high refresh rate large screen, 94.7% screen-to-body ratio, dual-mode 5G, and rear 64MP main camera. At the moment the other parameters are unknown (the phone is not the protagonist of the press conference), it is guessed that it is a low-end MediaTek or Snapdragon chipset.
It is reported that the 8+128GB version of Thunderbird FF1 is priced at 2499 yuan ($385), while its 8+256GB version price is 2799 yuan ($431) and pre-sale will start at 4 pm on September 6. Besides, TCL also stated that Thunderbird will release more Smartphones in the future, as well as AR, VR, MR, and other products.
