Recently, lots of rumor about Huawei Mate 9 is coming, but according to its manager of Huawei Mate product line, the phone released on Sept. 1 will definitely not Huawei Mate 9, because it will be very likely to come out in October or November this year in view of previous rules of Huawei.
Right now there is a Huawei Phone spotted on GFXBench, it will be Huawei Mate 9 in terms of specs, OS,etc. The specs shows Huawei new phone will come with 5.9inch 1080p screen, running Android7.0 OS, RAM 4GB ROM 64GB, 8MP front and 12MP back camera.
In addition, Huawei Mate 9 is supposed to be powered by 2.6Ghz processor, Mali-T880 GPU, and its chipset model shows Hi3660, compared with Huawei P9 with Kirin 955 Hi3650, so it will be possible to powered by Kirin 960 processor.
According to Pan Jiutang, a professional analyst, this processor will support CDMA network, LTE Cat.12, it still uses 16nm processing, but the chipset architecture will become Artemis+A53 combination. So GPU will also upgrade to Octa core chipset.
It’s a little puzzled that Huawei Mate 9 will be equipped with 20MP camera according to previous news, but now it just reveals 12MP back camera on GFXBench. So it’s worthwhile to stay tuned in the later of this year.
