It has been almost a month since we heard about Sony Xperia XZ4. The device was first mentioned in early December, there were rumors that the phone will have an extremely long screen with an aspect ratio of up to 21: 9. In the past, there were also quite a few render images of the Xperia XZ4 posted on the Chinese social network Weibo and most recently, the flagship image of this flagship, created a solid basis for previous rumors.
The newly leaked screen protector looks pretty good for the 21: 9 screen that we saw in the rendered image of the Xperia XZ4. The screen of the device has a very thin border, no Notch or water droplets, with a cut in the upper edge for speakers, cameras and proximity sensors. In addition, this glass also has a small cutting hole in the top left corner and perhaps a notification LED light.
Looking at the second photo, it is clear that this glass when placed together with the rendered image looks very similar to the screen of the Xperia XZ4. Hopefully, this will be the real design of this phone because so far, no one can produce toughened glass that reaches millimeter accuracy but only looks at 3D images.
In addition to the two screen protector photographs above, the mysterious Weibo user also shared two photos of the Xperia XZ4 that were placed in the case. They show that the device will have 3 cameras arranged vertically and placed in the middle of the back with LED flash.
On the right side, the device will have a volume up and down button, fingerprint sensor and power key placed side by side with a dedicated key to activate the camera. Meanwhile, the bottom edge will be where the Type-C USB connector, external speaker and no 3.5mm audio jack are available.
According to the first rumors, the new Sony Xperia XZ4 can count on a 6.5-inch display that will probably integrate an OLED panel. To manage the operation of the smartphone there will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC that will be supported by at least 6GB of RAM (but could be 8GB) and 128GB of storage.
The Sony Xperia XZ4 will also feature a triple rear camera with a 48MP main sensor. On the other hand, we note the presence of Android Pie 9.0 with the “usual” non-invasive and very light customization of Sony. Not surprisingly, Sony could take advantage of the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, which will take place from 25 to 28 February 2019, to unveil the XZ4. What do you expect from Sony next year?
