Sony is expected to present its new flagship in less than 24 hours and as proof of this, the benchmark of one of the variants has appeared. This is the 4GB RAM model of the Xperia XZ3 which, as usual, has passed through the Geekbench platform. This new information basically closes the circle on this device, leaving only the burden of announcing the official price to the company.
As the test report reveals the smartphone is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 845. Thanks to the 4GB coupling and a clock speed set at 1.77 GHz , the device achieved a discrete score and in line with the other flagships. In the Single Core test, it reached 2330 while in the Multi-Core it reached 8665. The software on which the phone was running was Android 9 Pie.
Although the results are in line with the other smartphones powered by, momentarily, the American company’s flagship processor, turned out to be a slower spin. The reason for this is almost exclusively due to RAM, but we already know that the 6GB variant exists; the only thing not yet clear about it is which markets will see which version.
For the rest, however, we know that the smartphone will have a base of 128GB of internal memory, but that will be expandable with the microSD. On the back, there will be a single sensor with 48MP while the front will be 13 MP. In terms of design, it should not change much compared to the ‘ XZ2 Premium, but it is hoped that the price is much lower.
There is not much information available so far on the possibility of launching the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium or Compact variants, but all this will be answered tomorrow or in the next few hours if they leak even more information. The Japanese giant has already revealed why the August 30th event will be held at 1 pm local time in the German capital and will most likely be broadcast live during the conference.
