Sony will launch four new phones at MWC this year, including the low-end Xperia L3, the mid-range Xperia 10 and 10 Plus, and the flagship Xperia 1.
The photos related to this exposure show that Sony did not change the appearance of Xperia too much. All four devices were based on the appearance of XZ2 and XZ3 and were slightly updated. Each phone has a curved metal edge, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a disappointing large border that doesn’t match the full screen that most current high-end smartphones use. However, Sony’s difference is that high-end device use an ultra-high 21:9 aspect ratio. Sony calls it “movie width”, and although it is very helpful for watching TV and movies, we are curious about how it handles everyday use.
The new flagship Xperia 1 features a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9; the Cinema Pro app records 4K HDR video in 21:9 format and supports ultra-slow recording. The rear camera array uses three 12-megapixel lenses (a normal wide-angle lens; an ultra-wide lens; and a telephoto lens with OIS). Dual-pixel technology for better low-light photos. The new flagship Xperia 1 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space (microSD can be expanded to 512GB), built-in 3300mAh battery, fast charging support; 4G LTE, dual SIM card, USB Type-C port, pre-installed Android Pie The operating system, which went on sale in June, sells for (about $1,099).
Xperia 10 uses 6-inch full HD + display, 21:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage, dual rear camera 13 million pixels and 8 megapixels, front 8 megapixel camera, 2870mAh battery; Xperia 10 Plus with 6.5-inch full HD+ display, 21:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage, dual rear camera, 1200 10,000 pixels and 8 megapixels, with optical zoom, front 8 megapixel camera, 3000 mAh battery, both with side-mounted fingerprint sensors, pre-installed Android Pie operating system.
