The FCC has approved an upcoming SONY smartphone that appears to be the Xperia 5 IV, which has been rumored for some time.
The device list revealed some key specs, including the size of the phone: 155.74mm in height and 67.1mm in width. That’s a bit shorter and narrower than last year’s Xperia 5 III, which measured 157mm and 68mm, respectively, so the new plane will have a more compact body. The Xperia 5 IV’s screen is listed as 153.5 mm diagonally, which is exactly 6.04 inches, slightly shorter than the Xperia 5 III’s 6.1-inch panel.
In addition, Xperia 5 IV will come with a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The list also confirmed support for NFC and wireless charging, which was not available on the previous three Xperia 5 models.
IGeekphone understands that the SONY Xperia 5 IV will also support Wi-Fi 6 and RFID smart cards, which are widely used in Japan.
