Just 3 months after the presentation of the flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1, the well-known insider OnLeaks high accuracy leaks published a series of renders of the second revision of the device. Despite the lack of official information on the development of the gadget, the images of the novelty look very reliable.
The key design difference of the device from its predecessor was the “moving” of the triple camera module from the center of the back cover to its left edge. The display of the device is still without cutouts and holes, but the upper and lower frames of the display have become more symmetrical compared to the Xperia 1.
On the renderers, it is clearly visible that the novelty will keep the aspect ratio of 21: 9, but the actual dimensions of the device are unknown. According to the source, Xperia 2 will get a 6.1-inch screen for comparison, the Xperia 1 diagonal is 6.5 inches.
Judging by the images, the smartphone will not get a 3.5-mm audio jack: owners will have to use an adapter or wireless headphones to listen to music. They promise a traditional fingerprint scanner on the right side, a USB Type-C port on the bottom.
Specifications and the possible date of the announcement of the gadget are unknown – given the relatively recent release of Sony Xperia 1, one can hardly expect the appearance of new items in the current year. Some sources suggest that the rendering device shows a completely different line, although they recognize the similarity of the mysterious device with the previous model.
At the moment, no more details are known about a device that Sony has not wanted to confirm any information. Most likely, the Sony Xperia 2 will be presented during the month of September this year during the IFA in Berlin. Although the most sensible thing would be to rush to get the previous device to market.
