Dungeons in World of Warcraft allow players to experience something during which they have to fight a lot of enemies, including tough bosses. Just like Raids, Dungeons are also extremely popular in the game, and they are one of the reasons why a lot of players start playing WoW. And today, we are going to talk about the longest Dungeons in WoW.
Dungeons usually require you to have a team of five players, and each plays a specific role. There is a Tank whose job is to keep the attention on himself as he can absorb the most amount of damage, Healer whose job is to keep everyone alive, and Damage Dealers who are just there to kill everything in their path.
Now, a big reason why a lot of players opt for Dungeons instead of Raid is that they can be completed quickly as compared to them. But if you’re involved in Raids, do make sure to check out the Sepulcher of The First Ones Carry, as it can help you a lot. There are some Dungeons that are pretty long because of the number of bosses they feature. Some of them have an exact number of bosses, while others have secret bosses as well. Furthermore, the design of each Dungeon is different, and players often get confused with the map.
So without any further due, let’s take a look at some of the longest Dungeons in World of Warcraft.
Return to Karazhan
The first Dungeon on our list is the Return to Karazhan. It arrived in the game through the Legion expansion, and players instantly jumped into it. However, they soon realized that the Return to Karazhan is one of the longest dungeons as there are a total of nine bosses in it. This Dungeon is normally known for featuring eight bosses, but there exists a ninth one that can be summoned.
Operation Mechagon also shares the same spot with the Return to Karazhan. This is because both of them are Mega Dungeons that were added to WoW. These two were considered some of the biggest Dungeons of their time. Sadly, the developers aren’t making such Dungeons anymore, and we only have to rely on the small ones.
The Wailing Caverns
The Wailing Caverns is yet another Dungeon in WoW, which is considered as a pretty long Dungeon. This is mainly due to the fact that it features a total of nine bosses, including a rare spawn boss named Faerie Dragon. However, this isn’t the only thing that makes the Wailing Caverns one of the longest Dungeons. This Dungeon is basically a giant maze, and you have to navigate through it. You need to be extremely careful at every corner, as one wrong turn can put you at the start of the maze.
The Vanilla version of this Dungeon was much bigger than the one featured in the regular version of the game. This is because it’s kind of a Dungeon that has a mini-dungeon before its entrance. The developers of this Dungeon were initially told to make a cave with lots of Dinosaurs in it. However, the devs went crazy with the idea and made a large place to accommodate these creatures. As for the Maze, they created it only to mess with players, but it ended up making its way to the final version. However, they were kind enough to add stuff that guided players through the maze.
Shadowfang Keep
While the previous two Dungeons mentioned on our list feature eight to nine bosses, the Shadowfang Keep has ten of them in the classic Wow version. The Dungeon wasn’t designed for high-level players only, as players from level 22 to 30 could access it as well. Furthermore, it was made available in the Silver Pine Forest. While the Dungeon isn’t big in terms of size, the number of enemies you’ll encounter during it is a lot. The bosses aren’t also easy to take down, and it might take you a few tries to defeat the final boss.
But overall, the Shadowfang Keep is an amazing Dungeon. It has earned its spot for being one of the longest WoW Dungeons due to the number of bosses it features.
These were some of the longest Dungeons in World of Warcraft. But even though they are long, they are pretty fun to complete. Furthermore, as you get to take down more enemies, especially bosses during them, you get rewarded with more items. Bosses usually drop a lot of loot. So the more bosses you take down, the more loot you acquire. You sometimes even get your hands on items that are difficult to get from anywhere else.
