Sharp introduces its new mid-range smartphone Aquos S3 in Vietnam on March 28th. It differs visually and in terms of equipment clearly from the small sister model Aquos S3 Mini, the Sharp presented a few days ago. The expected features of the Aquos S3 include a 6-inch display in 18: 9 format, the midrange SoC Snapdragon 630 and a dual camera on its back.
According to the latest update, Sharp Mobile CEO Luo Zhongsheng announced the launch date of the Aquos S3. In particular, an authentic website exhibited advertising image shared by the CEO in which clearly shows the time of launching the ultra-thin screen smartphone Sharp Aquos S3 is March 28 here. Notably, the Sharp Aquos S3 will be launched in Ho Chi Minh City.
Two days ago Sharp presented the Aquos S3 Mini in China, followed by the presentation of the “big” Aquos S3 in Vietnam next week. In contrast to the S3 Mini, which is equipped with a 5.5-inch display, the Aquos S3 comes with a larger display at the start, it should also differ in design and features of the smaller sister model.
Changes to the design are already visible on the display. Its FullHD + display is designed in a slim 18: 9 format, not in 17: 9 format like the screen of the Aquos S3 Mini. The recess in the front camera and sensor screen also reveals differences. While the S3 mini has a small and rounded recess, the S3 has an elongated Notch on the upper edge of the display.
According to recent rumors, significant equipment differences are to be expected in the camera equipment. So the S3 is supposed to get a 16MP selfie camera in front, while in the S3 Mini a super-sharp 20MP camera is used. On the back, Sharp uses a dual camera with 12MP sensor and 13MP sensor on the S3, while the S3 Mini has only one camera unit installed. This has a 16MP recording chip.
When driving the differences between the Aquos models, however, are quite small. As with the Aquos 3 Mini Aquos S3, the no longer fresh Qualcomm middle-class processor Snapdragon 630 is used. The octa-core system processor with its eight Cortex-A53 cores supports 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. It is expected that Sharp will pre-install Android 8.0 as the operating system for the successor of the Aquos S2 and will install a 3100 mAh battery. The extent to which the leaked equipment details are in line with the final version of the new Sharp model can be seen at the latest at the presentation on March 28 in Vietnam.
