Igeekphone, April 4 news, technology media SamMobile published a blog post yesterday (April 3), reported that Samsung’s thinnest flagship Galaxy S25 Edge mobile phone was originally released on April 15, and has been postponed to May 13.
Sources said the delay has nothing to do with the quality of the phone, and the media speculated that it may be related to management changes after the death of Han Jong-hee, the head of Samsung’s DX division. The new phone was finally released on Tuesday, only a month later than originally planned, and the scale of the event was reduced to an online event.
Galaxy S25 Edge is positioned in the middle and high-end, and the 256GB version is expected to be priced at 1.5 million won (Igeekphone note: the current exchange rate is about 7,413 yuan), between the S25 Plus (1,353,000 won) and S25 Ultra (1,698,000 won).
The machine features a 5.8mm ultra-thin body, with a 6.66-inch screen, available in silver, black and blue colors, and the annual production is planned to be 3 million units, considering that the Galaxy S25 series is targeted to ship about 37 million units, the model accounts for about 8% of the share.
