On May 19th, the well-known digital blogger @i ice universe exposed Samsung Galaxy S11 research and development code: Picasso. Following Note10, the Samsung Galaxy S11 is the second Samsung flagship model named after the “painter”.
Let us review Samsung’s recent flagship codes. The Samsung S9 R&D code is “Star” (Star), and the Note 9 R&D code is “Crown”. The Samsung Galaxy S10 development code is “Beyond” (override), Samsung Note10’s research and development code are “DaVinci” (Da Vinci).
From the evolution of these codes, it can be found that starting from Note10, Samsung intends to use the name “painter” as the flagship mobile phone development code. This may suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will be a small upgrade product that combines the strengths of Galaxy S10 and Note10. At least it is certain that this model has already been put into research and development.
According to Samsung Note10’s exposure progress, Samsung Galaxy S11 is expected to be equipped with 2020 Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platform (or Snapdragon 865) or a new generation of Exynos processor (Exynos 9830). Continue to use the Dynamic AMOLED panel, but there may be some improvement in the parameters.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S11 is very likely to be the third Samsung flagship phone with UFS 3.0 flash memory after Note10 and Fold, supporting 25W wired fast charging, wireless charging and shared charging. As for other aspects, it is expected that better imaging results, more stable experience, and a more fashionable color scheme will remain the main selling points of the S series.
According to the time node, the Samsung Galaxy S11 may still provide two network versions, namely the 4G version and the 5G version. After all, the current news shows that the new generation of mobile platforms is still using external 5G baseband. It takes 1-2 years for the 5G baseband to be integrated into the SoC.

In addition, it is unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S11 will still offer a variety of models like the S10 series to cover consumer groups at different price points. However, from the perspective of S10’s hot sales, this strategy still has certain possibilities to be used. Are you waiting for this Android phone?
