Samsung Electronics today released two new ISOCELL CMOS sensors, the 48 megapixel Bright GM1 and the 32 megapixels Bright GD1. The single pixel size of GM1 and GD1 is 0.8µm. The positioning provides high pixel resolution under small modules, and it is also convenient for mobile phone manufacturers to deploy multi-camera solutions.
In terms of technical features, GM1 and GD1 use ISOCELL Plus enhanced pixel isolation technology, which reduces color crossover by setting physical barriers between pixels to ensure picture fidelity and purity.
At the same time, GM1 and GD1 support Tetra cell four-pixel synthesis technology, and the photographic performance are equivalent to 12MP, single pixel size 1.6µm and 8MP, 1.6, m CMOS components.
In addition, the two CMOS models also support EIS electronic image stabilization based on gyroscope technology. In particular, GD1 also supports HDR video capture features.
