Samsung announced its new SmartThings Station at CES 2023, a small home Hub that helps users easily connect to smart home devices. In addition to being “affordable,” Samsung Hub includes a 15W wireless charging pad. The device works with SmartThings devices and also works with a growing number of Matter products, allowing users to buy and use different brands of smart home products.
With SmartThings Station, users can set routines such as turning off lights or controlling other smart devices. Igeekphone understands that users can create up to three routines for the Hub using the SmartThings app, which can be activated by pressing a smart button on the SmartThings Station. These three actions can be invoked by pressing, holding, or double-clicking the smart button. Users can also operate routines directly from the SmartThings app.
SmartThings Station also offers other benefits. For example, support for connecting to SmartThings Find, a service that can help scan for missing Samsung smartphones, tablets, watches and headphones. It also works with Galaxy SmartTag and SmartTag+, so users can find their missing keys if they are connected to these products.
