Samsung is working hard on bugs regarding the Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone with a flexible screen. This is evidenced by the latest developments of the Korean company. Samsung received a patent from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO, World International Property Organization) for the new design of the heir to the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
The smartphone has a similar folding form factor with an internal flexible screen and an additional external display. However, there is a big difference between the appearance of the original and the heir. The internal screen lost a notch for a selfie camera, which looked pretty old-fashioned. The hinge has become more massive, and there is no more gap between the modules when folded.
Another notable difference is the external display. He became elongated and moved to the right. The original model uses an external screen with a standard shape and is located in the center. The display will show widgets for settings, calendar, clock, music, and so on.
The back panel has become slightly curved, which promises a more comfortable grip. Galaxy Fold updates can be expected in 2020.
