Samsung is rumored to expand its foldable smartphone line even further by releasing a more affordable device that complements the Z Fold 2 in a similar form factor. For now, we will call this Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite, although that name is only a guess on our part.
So far, it has been rumored that this phone has the model number SM-F415F, which makes sense because in Samsung’s naming scheme, the first “F” stands for “foldable” and a lower number means that it will be the lower limit (and below the price) than the original Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 2.
This model number has now been seen on the support pages of Samsung’s official India website. While that doesn’t give us any details about the smartphone, the listing confirms the fact that the Lite Fold will launch on the subcontinent.
Previous rumors have said that this model will launch with Snapdragon 865 onboard but will lose 5G connectivity and Ultra-Thin Glass layer. There will likely be a lot of other cuts because past mumbles made it launch for as little as $1100, which is much less than the original Fold, Fold 2, or even the Z Flip. Expect the Galaxy Fold Lite to arrive in Mirror Black and Mirror Purple color options.
