According to foreign technology media SamLover, the models of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 are SM-F946U and SM-F946W, where “U” stands for the United States and “W” stands for Canada. The model number of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is SM-F731U.
Previously, it is reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 uses a new “drop-shaped” folding hinge design, which provides a softer curve in the folded state, thereby reducing screen creases and reducing the risk of screen cracking.
SamMobile reported last week that Samsung has conducted reliability tests on the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s “drop-shaped” hinge. The entire test cycle will last about a month, and Samsung will further optimize the hinge based on the test results, and then put it into mass production.
The latest report also pointed out that Samsung’s internal “drop-shaped” hinge was named “Dumbbell” (Dumbbell), and shared storage specification information for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are basically the same as the Galaxy S23 series:
Galaxy Z Fold 5
- 256GB
- 512GB
- 1TB
Galaxy Z Flip 5
- 128GB
- 256GB
- 512GB
It is worth noting that the 128GB version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 uses UFS 3.1, while other storage specifications use UFS 4.0. There is currently no information about the memory of these two foldable phones.
