it was reported that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support the S Pen stylus. Now an FCC document officially mentions that the device will be compatible with S Pen Pro.
The S Pen Pro stylus was released together with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, but it has not been listed. It seems that Samsung hopes to launch it together with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The S Pen Pro is equipped with a Bluetooth LE connection, which means that this stylus will support Air Actions, which is not available in the previously released standard S Pen models.
The FCC file shows that S Pen Pro is compatible with Galaxy Z Fold3, S21 Ultra, Note20 duo, Note10 Lite, Tab S7 series, and Tab S6. Another upcoming foldable device, Galaxy Z Flip3, is not mentioned in the list of supported devices.
The S Pen Pro itself will be charged via USB-C and has a 100mAh battery with a rated voltage of 5.0V. Z Fold3 may also support reverse wireless charging of the stylus, similar to the way the Galaxy Tab series works, this foldable phone may not have a dedicated S Pen slot.
