According to Samsung’s usual practice, New Galaxy S models will be released in the spring of 2012, while the Note series will be released in the fall. But with the rise of fold-screen phones, the Galaxy Z Fold and the Z Flip are the new leaders in the high-end range. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 May replace the Galaxy Note 21 in advance, or it may support the S Pen stylus, foreign media reported.
South Korean media have previously reported that Galaxy Note 21 could be “ditched” because of its lack of differentiation from the S21 Ultra and Z Fold 3, which are also rumored to support the S Pen. Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in June 2021, which will come with a dedicated S Pen stand, though the stylus will need to be purchased separately.

However, because of the folding screen design, getting Fold 3 to support handwriting would require an improved screen design to make it more durable. Samsung is already working on the second generation of ultrathin glass (UTG), which is said to have passed tests for flexibility, long-term durability and resistance to S Pen scratches. What remains to be determined is whether the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also be Samsung’s first Under Display Camera device.
