Recently, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 received the first Android 13 / One UI 5 Beta, after Samsung Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 were also tested. Now it’s the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2’s turn to run Android 13 and One UI 5.
This is likely to be the last major system update for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold2, which came out pre-loaded with Android 10 and is scheduled to receive three major software updates. (The next fold-screen phone will have four major software updates.) Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 will continue to receive security patches, and Samsung has already committed to support four years of security updates, namely through the end of 2024.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 One UI 5 Beta is being rolled out for the Korean version, but should arrive in other markets soon. In South Korea, both SIM – free and carrier phones are eligible for the update.

igeekphone has learned that users can use the Samsung Member app to sign up for the Beta program, but be aware that there may be some serious bugs, and that rolling back to the stable Android 12 system requires a full scrub, so remember to back up your data before you start.
