In less than a month, Samsung is preparing its digital event Unpacked 2020, where we expect the new proposals of the Note series as well as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. But we may end up with a long absence.
According to Max Weinback of XDA-Developers, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will not be released along with the other devices we expect to see. In particular, it will not even appear in Unpacked 2020. The reason, according to Weinbach, seems to be that the software of the device is not ready yet.
The development of the device’s operating system has been delayed considerably and will by no means be ready until early September when we expect the release of the devices that will be announced at Unpacked 2020. Weinbach claims that the release of the device at the end of September seems to be a more realistic scenario.
What the source points out is that although we have seen everything from official renders to videos of the devices we expect to be unveiled, there is nothing to give us even a glimpse into the Galaxy Z Fold 2. So, those of you who wanted to fall into the foldable category or renew last year’s Galaxy Fold, you’ll have to wait a little longer.
