In the past months, Samsung unveiled a different concept of foldable phones. The company introduced its new foldable phone Galaxy Z Flip at the UNPACKED event. Now, a new phone has come to the agenda, showing Samsung’s stubbornness in the foldable phone concept. Samsung, which received better reviews than the previous foldable model with Galaxy Z Flip, is now working on phones called Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2.
The camera of this model, where the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will have 5G support, will apparently be different from the original Z Flip. According to the patent, the new phone will have a total of 4 cameras in front and behind.
A new patent, discovered by LetsGoDigital at the World Intellectual Property Organization, has revealed camera setup options on the device. According to the discovered patent, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 will have a camera setup that is positioned either vertically or horizontally and consists of three cameras. With the front camera, the number of cameras will increase to 4.
Of course, the patent we see supports the claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will carry the Samsung Galaxy S20 cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S20 came with a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 64MP telephoto camera. If the camera setup is like this, we can also see that the Galaxy Z Flip is not just a model with 5G support.
Also, a configuration in the above patent image indicates that the small screen on the back of the device may be even wider. So when will we see Samsung‘s new foldable phone? Although there is no clear date on this subject, according to many people, the new device will be introduced with the new Galaxy Note family in August.
