At the beginning of February, Samsung‘s Galaxy XCover Pro would be launched on the European market, a phone that will arrive with ruggedized qualities and that would cost less than 500 euros (about US$556), according to what has been said about it.
The Galaxy XCover Pro, according to what the Winfuture.de portal has recently revealed, is an IP68 certified device with a thick polycarbonate chassis that protects it from dust, water and impacts. The thickness of the smartphone is 10 mm and weighs more than 200 grams.
The XCover Pro has been blessed with a modern 6.3-inch drilling screen. The LCD panel offers an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and produces a FullHD + resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Compared to other phones in the XCover series, the next XCover Pro has thinner bezels around the screen.
The 2.0 GHz Exynos 9611 octa-core chipset powers the Galaxy XCover Pro. The SoC supports 4GB of RAM and the device’s native storage is 64GB. The publication has stated that it is unclear whether the smartphone is equipped with a microSD card slot.
The perforation of the screen houses a 13MP selfie camera. The back of the device features a vertical dual camera configuration along with an LED flash. The configuration includes a 25MP main lens and an 8MP wide-angle sensor. The aperture sizes of these cameras are not yet known. The Android 10 One UI 2.0 operating system is preinstalled on the smartphone.
The Galaxy XCover Pro comes with a user-replaceable battery of 4020mAh capacity. With integrated USB type-C, the smartphone is likely to support fast charging. The phone also has Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. There is a “Push to Talk” button on the Galaxy XCover Pro for quick messages and a side fingerprint sensor that is integrated with the power button. And the pricing will be around €500 (about US$556) or more at home.
