Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 line with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 later this year. Samsung is making major design changes to all of these upcoming devices, with the foldable phones using droplet hinges to reduce creases on the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Watch will also see changes, similar to Google’s Pixel Watch.
According to @Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will have a curved glass screen. This is different from the flat screen of the Galaxy Watch 5. Curved glass edges make the screen more vulnerable to scratching, but may also make the device more elegant and beautiful.
Recent reports suggest Samsung is in talks with BOE to supply OLED panels. Samsung is likely to stick with a round OLED screen, similar to all previous Galaxy watches. After two years of using the same Exynos W920 chip, Samsung may bring an updated chip to the Galaxy Watch 6.
