Samsung has confirmed that it will release a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro soon. The update will enable these devices to enhance the Galaxy’s camera and audio experience.
With this update, Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will now support 360-degree audio recording, which can add immersive sounds to video content shot via a Galaxy phone. In addition, the camera controller on the Galaxy Watch will get new features.
The 360-degree audio recording feature will capture the sound in the video just as it would be heard in real life. This means that video with high quality, realistic audio can now be recorded without expensive professional equipment.
This function is achieved by picking up 360 degrees of sound from the microphone in each headset. Playing a video on a device that supports 360-degree audio, such as Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, will provide users with an immersive, lifelike experience.
360-degree audio recording is the first feature in the Galaxy series to use the Bluetooth LE audio standard. It is also possible to achieve binaural recording on Galaxy Buds 2 Pro by using both the left and right mics. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro users can enable this feature when their headphones are paired with a Galaxy phone running One UI 5.0 or later and supporting LE Audio. It is compatible with Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 devices, in addition to upcoming Samsung phones.
Galaxy Watch Camera Controller app lets users control the device’s camera from their wrist, Igeekphone has learned. Samsung is releasing an update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 that brings zoom control to the camera controller app.
Users can control the zoom of the phone’s camera remotely from their wrist. Zoom in or out by pinching the dial or rotating the bezel. This will make it easier to take a group photo or selfie from a distance.
