At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5, the time will also start for Galaxy Watch 3. In the meantime, we have seen it in photos and renderings, and today is the time to preview some features of Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. Thanks to the dedicated app available on the Play Store. Xda developers’ colleagues dissected it to find out news and points of interest and found them.
Starting with two new gestures: the first, which involves closing the fist, can be used to answer a call, take a photo or shoot a video.
The second, which consists of a rotating movement, as if to shake something off, intuitively will instead serve to silence an alarm or an incoming call.
As for the new features, the recognition of falls arrives, which will function in a similar way to the current SOS mode. When the device recognizes the fall, it will start ringing for 60 seconds. If the user does not interact within this period, Galaxy Watch 3 will send the emergency contacts a message containing the geolocation data and 5 seconds of audio recording. There is also an option to set the start of a call in the event of a fall.
A small change concerns the ways in which it will be possible to capture a screenshot: now you will have to press both side buttons simultaneously. And then there are all the default watch faces from which you can choose. Today’s discoveries do not necessarily close the circle around the face of Galaxy Watch 3, which could reserve even more surprises: we just have to wait a few more days for the official presentation.
