Samsung has been a leading player in the tablet market for years, offering high-quality devices that cater to the needs of users from all walks of life. The tech giant has always been known for its flagship tablet series, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9. However, recent developments suggest that Samsung is also working on a new Fan Edition tablet set to be launched in 2023.
According to reports, Samsung is developing two new Fan Edition tablets, which will use the same Exynos chip. One of the tablets with model number SM-X516B has been spotted on Geekbench, and it is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Another tablet with the model number SM-X616B has also appeared, suggesting that Samsung is developing two variants of the FE tablet.
Based on Samsung’s naming conventions, it is reasonable to assume that the SM-X516B and SM-X616B are the weaker variants of the Tab S9 flagship tablet model. They are expected to be the FE version of the tablet. The high-end Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE models include the SM-X716, SM-X816, and SM-X916, which further supports this theory.
Interestingly, both the SM-X516B and SM-X616B tablets use the Exynos 1380 chip, as confirmed by the “s5e8835” motherboard and the “energy_ware” governor. The Exynos 1380 chip has four Cortex-A78 CPU cores with a main frequency of 2.4GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores with a main frequency of 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G68 MP5 graphics chip. These specifications suggest that the new tablets will be capable of handling most day-to-day tasks with ease.
The SM-X516B tablet is expected to be a smaller variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, with a lower price and 6GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the SM-X616B may have a larger display and a higher price, with 8GB of RAM. Both tablets will come with the Android 13 operating system pre-installed.
In conclusion, Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition tablet series looks promising, and the leaked specifications suggest that the new tablets will offer excellent value for money. We can’t wait to see what Samsung has in store for us in 2023.
