The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets will be released tomorrow alongside the Galaxy S22 series, and an official full press release is now out ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event, along with dozens of high-quality image rendering.
According to the leaked press release, the Galaxy Tab S8 series has the following hardware specifications:
The Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch LPTS TFT display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, offers 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of expandable storage, and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2800 x 1752 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and the same memory configuration as the Tab S8.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features a 14.6-inch 2960 x 1848 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8/12/16GB of RAM, and 128/256/512GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD.
The Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Aside from size, size, selfie camera, fingerprint sensor placement, and battery capacity, the new Samsung tablets are basically the same, with the 4nm Snapdragon 8 flagship chipset, support for the S Pen, they also support 45W super-fast charging, However, the battery capacity varies. The Galaxy Tab S8 has an 8,000 mAh battery, the Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 10,090 mAh battery, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has an 11,200 mAh battery.
Hardware aside, the software is the key to making or breaking productivity tablets, and thankfully, Samsung seems to be making a big splash with the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. According to a leaked press release, the Galaxy Tab S8 will be the first Samsung tablet to feature LumaFusion, a powerful video editing tool.
Additionally, Samsung enables Clip Studio Paint users to connect their Galaxy smartphones and Tab S8 tablets and turn the small-screen device into an S Pen’s toolset. This is great for artists who might want to use the Tab S8’s entire screen as a digital canvas, without UI elements obscuring it.
In a leaked press release, Samsung claims that the new armored aluminum structure allows the Galaxy Tab S8 series to have 40 percent less curvature than the Galaxy Tab S7. Additionally, the aluminum frame is 30% less likely to be scratched than the material previously used.

On the 25th of this month, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will go on sale in the United States, Europe, and South Korea. Customers who pre-order the Tab S8 Ultra will receive a free bookcase keyboard, while those who pre-order the Basic or Plus models will receive a bookcase keyboard slim accessory.
