Samsung has officially released its latest flagship, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, which is the first time to use dual curved screen and full screen on its Galaxy S series with up to 84% screen to body ratio.
As for specs, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus use Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 processor accordingly, RAM 4GB ROM 64GB internal storage, Galaxy S8 has 5.8 inch, S8 Plus has 6.2 inch, but both have 2960×1440 screen resolution.
Both come with 12MP dual rear camera, F1.7 big aperture, supporting OIS, they have 8MP front camera with F1.7 aperture, S8 is built in 3,000mAh battery, S8 Plus with 3,500mAh battery, both run Android7.0 OS, up to 256GB storage expansion, supporting IP68 waterproof, Iris recognition, adding Samsung facial recognition.
In communications, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the first smartphones to support Bluetooth 5.0, WIFI supports 802.11ac, LTE Cat.16. They also first use voice assistance, Bixby, enabling more convenient functions according to users’ displaying interface, Bixby can achieve location, online shopping, translation of language and other functions by built in camera.
Samsung has also shown DEX function, which can do desktop experience by connecting DEX base with display. They can control family iot devices by connecting Samsung Connect APP.
At press conference, Samsung has also shown latest Gear VR device, Gear 360（2017）with remote control design which can let users taking photos with holding it, it can take 4K panoramic videos. Samsung announces that they will start to sell Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on April 21 officially, it’s pity that they haven’t announce the price of them. Stay tuned.
